Team Leader - Engineering

The elevator pitch

You will lead one or more of our Engineering teams in the bleeding-edge technology, Open Source focused, and in a company that literally will take over the world and challenge the major international IaaS companies. You will be part of a dynamic journey and guide your team in positive and challenging projects that requires you to build good relations both internally and externally.

Some details about the areas you will be working with

  • You will be Scrum master and hence responsible for sprint planning.
  • You will help your team to prioritise the backlogs.
  • Be responsible for Service Operations of our Cloud platform (Incident/Problems).
  • You will plan and be part of team development and your own leadership journey.
  • You will report KPI's and objectives to senior management.

The wishlist 

Here are the skills and attributes you need to have, or be willing to get, to meet our basic requirements for this job and to fit in with the team 

  • You have experience from scrum or other agile methodology.
  • You should have a solid technical background to be able to engage in discussions about technical content as well as understand the high level technical scope of various projects
  • Previous experience from IT Operations Management will be a huge plus.
  • Basic networking skills are needed. 
  • You have a security mindset.
  • Basic understanding of ITIL framework. 
  • Good at knowledge sharing and documentation. 
  • You are able to communicate in a professional, concise, and clear manner in Swedish (fluent) and English. 
  • You are patient, a good listener and structured in your work. 
  • You strive for the best of the company, but without jeopardising the wellbeing of your teammates or yourself.
  • You have, or want to develop, your leadership skills that falls inline with our core values:

Here are the skills we can teach you if you don't already have them 

  • Operations/deployment experience on the OpenStack platform. 
  • An understanding of platform automation with Ansible.
  • Leadership and group development knowledge such as UGL (Utveckling Grupp Ledare) and UL (Utvecklande Ledarskap).

How's work at City Network?

What employment conditions apply? 

This is a full time position, in Karlskrona HQ, with 6 weeks' vacation.
