The extensive 24-month program combines education and work experience to help shape highly qualified Compliant Cloud Engineers. It is aimed at young talents who are interested in the technical aspects of operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure combined with stringent compliance and security standards. This is a great opportunity to gain real work experience within DevSecOps and a chance to work with the leading experts on Compliant Cloud infrastructure in Europe.
It is just as much about fitting into a professional work environment as it is learning the specific tasks. You and your class mates will be assigned a mentor who will help and guide you into the assignments and processes at City Network.
Passing the six-month evaluation takes you to the second phase of the program which lasts for another 6 months. Your assignments will stay the same and you will receive your personal City Network ID as well as all staff benefits that we have to offer.
During your last year it is time to start focusing on finding a permanent role. You will be placed in a team of your choice and spend 50% of your time on training and introduction to your chosen role.
We are a fast growing IT infrastructure company with a global footprint and vision. From our head offices in the metropolitan area of Karlskrona (that’s a joke, it’s a small city spread over 30 islands in the south-east of Sweden with a population of 35K and it is absolutely beautiful) we do some pretty amazing stuff.
Work hard, play hard is an unofficial motto that we keep coming back to and that is what we believe makes us so successful.
So what is successful? Well, this team built and launched Swedens first IaaS service back in 2009. The same team is now responsible for a range of cloud computing services, available in over 30 data centers across four continents. This team keeps data safe for huge insurance companies, banks and global organisations that rely heavily on the City Network promise - Innovation through Open IT infrastructure. While doing all of that, this team has also pledged it’s support to the largest Open Source community in the world, OpenStack Foundation.
